Assistant investigations officers

The Assistant Investigation Officer provides high-level administrative, project and investigative support to the Medicines Compliance Team. The role supports complex and sensitive investigations relating to compliance with the Medicines and Poisons Act 2019 and associated regulations, ensuring legislative and regulatory obligations are met.

Two full-time opportunities are available. As part of your application, you will be asked to indicate your preferred appointment type:

* 1 x Permanent, Full-Time
* 1 x Fixed Term Temporary, Full-Time until 30 June 2026

What you'll do

* Deliver confidential executive and administrative support, including managing correspondence, preparing reports and documentation, and coordinating tasks and workflows.
* Assist with preliminary investigative activities such as information gathering, data analysis and risk assessments in accordance with established protocols.
* Manage small projects and work packages, providing regular progress updates against agreed objectives.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders while contributing to process improvements and team outcomes.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

* Extensive experience providing high-level confidential administrative support to senior officers, including advanced use of Microsoft Office (e.g. templates, pivot tables, charts, presentations and data analysis).
* Strong background in administrative and project support, including preliminary case and risk assessments, and preparing briefings, regulatory correspondence and reports.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision in a high-pressure environment.
* Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of regulatory investigation processes and relevant public health legislation.

This position may require travel. While not mandatory, a current “C” class driver licence would be well regarded.
