**The Role**
As the Assistant Director of Digital Services you will be responsible for managing the AHO website and content in line with the Defence Digital Strategy. The role will involve promoting the services of the AHO in the international arena and providing a positive customer experience. The internal website is on the SharePoint Platform and the role is responsible for enhancing the internal capability.
**About our Team**
The Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) is part of the Department of Defence. It is responsible for providing Australia's national charting service under the terms of SOLAS and the Navigation Act 2012 (Cth).
This role requires provision of nautical charting (including charts in electronic form) and associated services in support of maritime safety, the coordination and determination of policy and standards which cover both hydrographic surveying and charting, as well contributing to the coordination, exchange and standards related to maritime geospatial data in general.
The AHO is also responsible for providing direct support to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) by providing hydrographic, charting, oceanographic and meteorology services.
- Good stakeholder engagement and good written communications skills.
- Build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience in communications/ media or digital marketing to promote the organisation as part of their national mission.
- Qualifications or relevant industry experience in communications or media or digital marketing.
- Project management experience.
