Events and Famils Officer Full-time Permanent
Details: VisitCanberra leads the ACT and capital region tourism industry to create and implement a range of marketing and partnership programs that aim to grow the value of tourism to the ACT economy.
We're seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Events and Famils Officer to join our passionate team. This role is ideal for a natural collaborator with strong project and event management skills who thrives on maintaining momentum across multiple priorities.
Working closely with a small, dedicated team, you'll play a key role in delivering VisitCanberra's travel trade–focused events and familiarisation programs. You'll support the promotion of Canberra as a compelling destination by coordinating VisitCanberra's attendance and activation at business‐to‐business (B2B) events designed specifically for the travel trade, including travel agents and distribution partners who actively sell Australia and Canberra to their clients.
In this role, you will:
* Coordinate VisitCanberra's participation in B2B travel trade events, trade shows and workshops across Australia and international markets
* Plan and deliver tourism familiarisation (famil) programs in Canberra for travel agents and partners throughout the year
* Work closely with tourism businesses, wholesalers and industry stakeholders to showcase Canberra's tourism experiences
* Provide essential administrative and logistical support to the team
This role reports to the Assistant Director, Partnerships and Distribution within VisitCanberra's International Markets and Programs team.
