Aviation is a key driver of economic growth in the Pacific region, and strengthening its sector can have far-reaching benefits.
The Australia-Pacific Partnerships for Aviation (P4A) program aims to improve safety outcomes, increase cooperation, and support economic growth through technical and policy advice.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in aviation sector policy development, safety audits and compliance, demand analysis, route analysis, forecasting, strategic advice, airport planning, management or operations, airline operations and management, civil aviation regulatory expertise, tourism management, and policy development.
Candidates should have at least 10 years of significant working experience in one or more of these areas and experience working in Pacific Island countries or similar operating environments.
A strong mentoring and capacity-building skills, experience working collaboratively in a development partner context, GEDSI, environment stakeholder and community engagement, and working with multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams are highly desirable.
