Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Canberra for a Senior Manager - Child, Youth and Family Services. The successful candidate will lead and manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs and services that support children, youth, and families. Responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day staff management, budget management, strategic planning, and collaboration with stakeholders and partners to enhance service delivery. The Senior Manager will also drive innovation, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and advocate for the needs of the community while enhancing the quality of programs. The role allows for flexible work arrangements, combining in-office and remote work as needed.
Qualifications
Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to oversee diverse teams and projects.
Experience in community services, program development, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement, particularly in the areas of child, youth, and family services.
Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills for building relationships with community members, government agencies, and partners.
Proficiency in financial management, including budget planning and monitoring, with the ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and reporting requirements.
Tertiary qualification in social work, community services, business management, or a comparable field is preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices relevant to child, youth, and family services.
Capacity to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to meet community needs.
Commitment to fostering inclusivity, equity, and social responsibility within community services.
