The Role
This is not a traditional payroll management position.
You will lead a high-performing team responsible for timely, accurate, and compliant payroll delivery. You'll own workflow performance, solve complex problems, and set quality standards for your team.
You will build and run the engine that powers our expert marketplace. This means managing capacity, overseeing implementations, driving standardization, and transitioning us into a scalable, tech-enabled payroll delivery model.
We're seeking someone who thrives in operational detail, leads with accountability, and is passionate about building a world-class payroll service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own Payroll Workflow Delivery: Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
2. Monitor and enforce service levels, proactively solving capacity and SLA risks
3. Oversee ad-hoc requests and ensure high-quality outcomes across all tasks
4. Implement strong quality control practices in partnership with our Process & Quality team
5. Lead root cause analysis and documentation of quality issues, preventing recurrence
6. Maintain up-to-date process documentation and support platform improvements
7. Build scalable onboarding processes for new customers, reducing key person risk
8. Drive team development and technical training to maintain excellence
9. Act as technical SME in our shift toward a more scalable marketplace payroll model
