The HammondCare Volunteer program is a outstanding way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Caulfield.
We are seeking a Polish speaking volunteer to spend time with an elderly person in care at HammondCare Caulfield. Ideally you will be able to speak Polish fluently, be able to visit for a cuppa and a chat or weather permitting take a walk around the grounds together and stop at the onsite café.
Your impact: Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Time Required: We’d be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
Training: All HammondCare volunteers receive training and on‑going support from a local HammondCare Volunteer Coordinator
