Senior Procurement Specialist
for our new
Brisbane office
, specialising in electrical, civil, and mechanical procurement for solar farms and BESS. The ideal candidate excels in supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and process streamlining. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are key to driving project success in renewable energy.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Implementation of cost-effective procurement strategies for electrical, civil, and mechanical infrastructure in renewable energy projects.
* Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and cost targets.
* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to align procurement activities with project specifications and timelines.
* Conduct in-depth cost analyses, optimize procurement budgets, and drive efficiency improvements.
* Ensure adherence to industry standards, mitigate procurement risks, and uphold best practices in supply chain management.
* Guide junior procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance procurement team.
Qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 8 years of procurement experience in construction, electrical, or renewable energy sectors, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
* Strong expertise in supplier negotiations, RFQs, contract management, and cost analysis.
* Hands-on experience with procurement of electrical components, SCADA systems, and structural materials.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and AutoCAD for procurement management and design review.
