Financial Leadership Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Accountant to lead our finance team.
This leadership position combines technical expertise with strategic insight, driving system improvements and mentoring a small team.
* Revenue Management: Lead end-to-end revenue recognition, invoicing, and accounts receivable processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
* Financial Reporting & Planning: Prepare monthly management reports, budget vs actual analysis, and support strategic financial planning, grant acquittals, and board reporting.
* Data Integrity & Systems: Design and maintain financial data platforms, dashboards, and integrations to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
* Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, manage FBT returns, maintain audit readiness, and identify and mitigate financial risks.
* Leadership & Mentoring: Supervise Accounts Receivable and reporting staff, provide guidance and development opportunities, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver accurate financial insights and support organisational goals.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must have CPA/CA accreditation and tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, along with 5+ years' experience in financial and management accounting, not-for-profit experience highly regarded.
Key Skills: Strong background in revenue management, accounts receivable, budgeting, and reporting; proficiency in accounting software and financial data platforms, with advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (including complex formulas and dashboards); experience with Business Central is highly regarded.
