Additionally, they operate a 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment and provide residential aged care for 30 residents.
About the role:
Our valued client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Registered Nurse to assume the role of Shift In-Charge at their 30‐bed residential aged care facility. This full‐time, short‐term locum position requires the leadership of nursing teams across all shifts, including weekends, to ensure the highest standards of care for residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for all RN‐specific assessments, documentation, and communication activities. The contract begins 11 June for a 3‐month period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and oversight of nursing staff on assigned shifts
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and ensure accurate documentation of resident care
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
* Ensure adherence to Aged Care Standards and Accreditation requirements
* Manage and optimize the use of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
* Deliver person‐centred care using an evidence‐based approach
* Support staff through internal and external changes, fostering a positive team environment
* Commit to ongoing professional development and stay current with industry practices and technology
Qualifications and Experience:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in the Aged Care sector
* Proven clinical knowledge, skills, and leadership experience in Residential Aged Care
* Thorough understanding of Aged Care Standards and Accreditation requirements
* Proficient in financial management and ACFI processes
* High level of clinical competence, serving as a role model for nursing staff
* Sensitivity to the needs and issues of individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Strong team leadership skills with the ability to manage change
* Commitment to professional development and adept at using communication applications and technology
* Membership in an appropriate professional association
Certificates, Licences and Registrations:
* Current employee police check
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Other Requirements:
* Current evidence of immunisation history and/or serology results
