**Junior/Trainee Laser Cutting Machine Operator**
- Tweed Heads South (10 minutes south of Coolangatta airport)
- Monday - Friday (no weekend work), morning shift
- No experience required. Seeking a junior/trainee willing to learn
**About the role**
We are seeking a junior/trainee to join our production team in our Tweed Heads South factory. You will be provided on the job training to use the computer / laser CNC cutting machine. This position is for an immediate start.
We are a highly reputable manufacturer of rectangular galvanised ductwork and other sheetmetal products. With 30+ years industry experience, we have a fully equipped 2000m2 factory, manufacturing duct and stainless steel products.
Role is Monday to Friday (no weekend work). Morning shift from 6:00am / 6:30am. Hourly rate and hours to be discussed.
**Key responsibilities **(training provided for all of the below)
- **Operating and monitoring CNC Laser Cutting machine**
- Operating, monitoring and controlling various machines and processes to ensure the production of high-quality sheet metal and other components
- Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean working environment
- Manage the movement and storage of raw materials
- Materials handling
- Adhoc tasks as directed by Production Manager.
- Read and work with technical drawings
- Manage priorities efficiently in a time critical setting
- attention to detail and follow the quality procedures in place
- Collaborate with other employees and management team.
- Adhere to OH&S; Requirements
**About you**
- No experience required. Although, background in trade or manufacturing industry desirable
- Willingness to learn
- Available for a morning shift (from 6:00am) Monday to Friday.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift metal objects if required
- Ability to work in a factory environment, be safety focused and adhere to all WH&S; policies and procedures.
