Working for a non-profit who deliver essential services to the vulnerable, this position is a key role in the broader corporate team. A true generalist position, supported by an HR Officer, and reporting to an HRD, includes advising the diverse workforce on workers comp, IR, performance management, grievances and investigations. As the HRM, your role is to support and promote an already positive workplace culture, which boasts a family friendly environment, good additional benefits, and anything else they can do to support the staff who deliver support to those in need.
The organisation has been through a restructure recently and are settling into the new, so, this is a good time to join the team. There is still plenty to do regarding HR initiatives, new system implementation to name a few, and there is still the opportunity to shape the role somewhat into your own.
The role is supported by strong leadership from the CEO down, and has 3 direct reports in the HR & admin team. Coming into a purpose driven organisation, this role has autonomy and in speaking to the HRD and CEO you feel the connection they have to the work they do.
Based in the centre of Canberra this organisation promotes a visible and accessible corporate team so being based in the office will be important. Naturally, you will have strong generalist HR experience in an HRM or BP role, and you
