The Opportunity
Lithgow City Councilhas an exciting opportunity for anAdministration Assistant - Strategy and Projectsto join their team in Lithgow, NSW.
Reporting to the Strategy and Projects Manager, you will be responsible for the administrative and management services to the Water and Wastewater and Waste Strategy and Projects Department to support the efficient and effective operation of the department and the optimal utilisation of the technical staff's time and resources. The role also provides administrative and customer support to the directorate.
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Provide confidential administration support including preparation of correspondence, reports, presentations and other essential documentation
Determine, develop and manager processes for administration and the flow of work for the division ensuring streamlined and effective outcomes
Manage the departmental staff's time commitments and diary
Work closely with the Manager in prioritising and filtering information requests
Source, format, collate documentation for meetings, engagement with staff and stakeholders
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders by providing positive and efficient customer service

About You
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Relevant industry experience in the assisting management and teams in administration and organisation
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite
Current Class C Drivers Licence
Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult people
Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety
Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity
