Arts Centre Melbourne is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Officer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in building services operations and maintenance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of plant and systems, including electrical installations, chilled and heating hot water, HVAC, domestic water, sanitary and other services. They will also work closely with contractors and service providers to ensure safe work practices and compliance with Arts Centre Melbourne policies and procedures.
* Electrical A grade license or equivalent technical qualification with experience working in commercial building services environment.
* Experience operating building management systems and maintenance or experience working in operating environments such as sporting venues, shopping centres, hospitals.
* Available to work rotating shifts.
* Ability to interpret building plans, technical and schematic drawings.
* Knowledge and experience on electrical installations, High Voltage and Low Voltage system operation and maintenance.
* Ability to walk distances of up to 2-3 kms, work at heights, and work outdoors.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
* An effective understanding of task prioritisation and a high level of understanding and commitment to customer service delivery are essential.
* Good communication skills, as the successful candidate will be interacting with a variety of people across the organisation.

* Sound computer skills in using asset information management system would be an advantage.
