We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to fill the role of Financial Operations Specialist within our Finance Department.
This is a hands-on position where you will have the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, be flexible, and have an enthusiastic approach to tasks. You must be able to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, accountancy, or related discipline, including membership of CA or CPA.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintenance of general ledger
* Maintenance of fixed asset register
* Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
* Preparation and delivery of month-end reconciliations
* Internal budgeting preparation
* Ensuring compliance with Superannuation, payroll tax, BAS, FBT, income tax regulations
About you:
Hold a degree in finance, accounting, or related field
Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders
Familiarity with MYOB, Acumatica, or similar financial systems
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in accounting roles
Eligibility criteria: you must have existing unrestricted rights to work in Australia and eligibility to obtain a Casino Employee Licence from the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission
