Red Cross Transport service is more than just a commuter service ‑ it is an opportunity for genuine social connection Designed for older Australians and people experiencing transport disadvantage, this door‑to‑door service helps clients attend non‑urgent medical appointments, social outings (such as coffee with friends or community events) or essential errands such as grocery shopping. Clients are welcome to bring a carer or a registered friend along for the ride. By combining reliable logistics with friendly conversation, the service supports clients' physical, social and emotional well‑being, helping them remain independent in their own homes while staying connected to the community.
We are seeking warm, dependable volunteers who can relate to and empathise with a diverse range of people, including those from different cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
