About the Role
As Finance Manager, you'll partner closely with the CFO to lead our day-to-day finance operations and play a pivotal role in supporting our continued success. Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* Managing a small team (Payroll, AR, and AP Officers) to ensure accurate and timely processing
* Strengthening internal controls, reconciliations, and compliance (including Corporations Act 2001, tax and industry regulations)
* Driving process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency in a high-volume service environment
* Providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, cost management, and cash flow optimisation
* Managing vendor relationships, stakeholder reporting, and ad-hoc projects
About You
You're a proactive, results-driven finance professional with a can-do attitude and a passion for problem-solving. Ideal qualifications:
* Qualified professional (CPA/CA) with Big 4 training (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG)
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance experience, including industry roles post-audit
* Proven track record in hands-on financial management, ideally in service-based, hospitality, or high-growth/turnaround environments
* Strong technical skills in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Microsoft D365 and Power BI) and advanced Excel
* Excellent leadership and communication skills – able to motivate a small team and influence stakeholders
* Experience in transformation initiatives, such as ERP implementations, would be highly regarded (though not essential)
* Resilient and energised by challenges; eager to roll up your sleeves and deliver impactful results in a dynamic business
