The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN) plays a pivotal leadership role in delivering expert, person-centred cancer care across lung and colorectal streams within the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN). Guided by the McGrath Model of Cancer Care, this role provides advanced clinical nursing expertise, care coordination and leadership across the full cancer care continuum.

Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical cancer nursing care and individual case management, including comprehensive assessment, treatment coordination, therapeutic interventions, discharge planning and hospital avoidance strategies across lung and colorectal care pathways.
* Deliver clinical leadership and consultancy to nursing and multidisciplinary teams, supporting integrated care planning, risk management, and the development of best-practice cancer care models across EFNLHN.
* Lead and contribute to quality improvement, service development, research, and change management initiatives aligned with organisational priorities and the McGrath Model of Cancer Care.
* Educate, mentor and support nurses and other health professionals, fostering a positive learning culture, professional development and the sustainability of specialist cancer nursing skills in the region, including active participation in McGrath Foundation education and information-sharing events.
* Maintain strong partnerships with internal teams, the McGrath Foundation and external organisations, while ensuring accurate data collection, reporting, governance and accountability for clinical practice outcomes.
Qualifications
* Do you have advanced clinical expertise in oncology, palliative care or cancer nursing and a passion for delivering evidence-based, person-centred care?
* Are you an experienced registered nurse who thrives in autonomous practice and values leadership, innovation and service improvement?
* Do you enjoy working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and supporting staff, consumers and families through complex cancer journeys?
* Are you committed to culturally safe practice, with experience or a genuine willingness to work respectfully with Aboriginal consumers and communities?
