Software Engineer
Assignment until 30/06/26 with possible extension. Existing AGSVA NV1 clearance required. Edinburgh Location.
Green Light Worldwide have a requirement with our client partner for a Software Engineer join their team an assignment until 20/06/26 with possible extensions.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Java, Python, and C++.
* Implement and manage integration processes and CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient delivery.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with project requirements.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and scalability.
* Contribute to architectural decisions and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
* Ensure compliance with security and clearance requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Software Engineer in complex environments.
* Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and C++ programming languages.
* Hands‑on experience with system integration and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
* Minimum NV1 security clearance (mandatory).
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Strong understanding of software development best practices and agile methodologies.
