An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join a leading Aged Care facility in Sydney
**About the role**:
- Provide on-site maintenance services and basic construction activities including but not limited to painting, basic electrical works, hanging paintings, TV installations, maintaining air conditioning units, tiling, assisting with furniture moves, basic plumbing and general ad-hoc repairs.
- Provides on-site maintenance of gardens and grounds including upkeep of gardens and mowing lawns, garden edges, watering, weeding, digging, planting etc.
- Engage and manage contractors for any major works or specialised maintenance - assist with contractor access to property
- Ensure that all maintenance work is followed within specifications and building regulations
- Maintains an effective records management system for all maintenance and gardening issues and ensures completion of forms and reports as required
- Prioritises and attends to urgent repairs for maximum staff, resident and visitor comfort
- Regular interaction and assisting with resident queries
**About you**:
- Must be a people person!
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with all Village Stakeholders
- Confident with a wide range of ad-hoc and reactive maintenance tasks - **trade background highly advantageous**:
- Familiarity with Aged Care accreditation and procedures - advantageous
- Ability to conduct regular site safety inspections to verify that work areas, work methods, materials, plant and equipment comply with policy and general
- White care holder
- Drivers licence - Class C
