McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved in a broad range of agricultural enterprises including grain, feed mill, compost, poultry, and transport operations.
We are currently seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team in a full-time, site-based role. This position is based on site five (5) days per week and is ideal for someone looking to apply their technical expertise in a practical, operational environment outside of a traditional corporate setting.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst with strong SQL and Power BI capability to work closely with operational leaders across the business. You will play a key role in strengthening data integrity, reporting capability, and system improvements that directly support operational performance.
Daily duties will include but not be limited to:
* Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and the data team to deliver high-quality reporting and insights
* Lead conversations around best-practice data management and reporting standards
* Support and enhance data collection, management and governance processes
* Assist in the development and implementation of data analysis strategies to optimise efficiency and quality
* Maintain and enhance central SQL repositories and automation tools
* Develop reports, dashboards and visualisations using the Power BI toolset
* Work across data analysis, design and development initiatives
* Drive adoption and effective use of reporting and analytics tools across the business
* Investigate data issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions
* Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
* Review data-sharing protocols to ensure compliance and integrity standards are met
* Ensure overall data integrity and reliability across reporting platforms
Only candidates with the following skills should apply:
* Minimum 5 years’ hands on experience working with SQL (essential)
* Demonstrated experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI
* Experience maintaining and managing SQL repositories
* Strong data analysis and data collection capability
* Experience working in a reporting-focused role
* Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a small team environment and operate autonomously
* Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes (ideal but not essential)
