Craiglee Vineyard, located on the outskirts of Melbourne, has a rich history dating back to 1863. Since the 1970s, the Carmody family has meticulously managed the vineyard, producing exceptional cool-climate red and white wines. Known for its commitment to quality, Craiglee is recognised as one of Victoria's classic wineries. The vineyard combines tradition with expertise to craft wines that are highly regarded by both critics and consumers.
Role Description
We are seeking a commercially minded, detail-oriented professional to manage and grow our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) sales channel on a part-time basis. Craiglee is entering a new phase, and this role will be central to building our direct-to-consumer channel.
You will take ownership of Craiglee's DTC sales strategy and execution. This includes driving wine club growth, increasing online sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints.
The role is performance-oriented - you will be measured on wine club growth, DTC revenue and customer retention. The position is ideal for someone who understands premium wine customers, thrives on relationship-driven sales, and enjoys combining marketing execution with operational oversight.
Location
: Victoria-based (proximity to Sunbury highly regarded but remote possible)

: Part-time - 0.5 FTE (approximately 20 hours per week)
Salary:
Negotiable hourly rate/annual pro-rata (plus performance bonus structure tied to DTC results)
Key responsibilities:
DTC Sales Growth
* Develop and execute strategies to grow online and direct sales
* Monitor sales performance, conversion metrics, and customer retention
* Identify opportunities to increase average order value and club uptake
Wine Club Management
* Oversee all aspects of the Craiglee wine club
* Manage allocations, communications, renewals, and retention
* Improve member engagement and lifetime value
Marketing Communications
* Produce and schedule marketing emails (campaigns, offers, seasonal releases)
* Coordinate product launches and club communications
* Maintain consistent brand voice across digital channels
Website & E-Commerce
* Manage website updates (products, content, offers)
* Optimise user experience and conversion pathways
* Work with external providers where necessary
Order Fulfilment & Operations
* Oversee DTC order processing and dispatch coordination
* Ensure accurate inventory management within DTC systems
* Liaise with logistics providers as required
Customer Service
* Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and members
* Handle issues or returns with discretion and care
Qualifications
Essential
* Strong skills in Customer Service, e-commerce, or wine industry operations
* Proficiency in Sales and the ability to develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.
* Strong written communication skills (email marketing proficiency essential)
* Ability to work independently
Desirable
* Strong interest in wine, experience or knowledge related to Wine Club management or the wine industry
* Experience with wine management and DTC platforms (e.g WineDirect, Commerce7, Shopify)
* Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo)
* Basic understanding of digital marketing analytics
* Wine industry experience or strong interest in wine
