We are a small supermarket grocery store operating in the suburbs of Belmont, WA. We are open 7 days a week from 8:00AM to 9:00PM. We offer to the public a variety of Middle
Eastern groceries, Afghan, Indian, Pakistan, Asian groceries, African hair & beauty care, cooking wares, dry goods, fruits and vegetables, and Halal Meat amongst others.
We have a current need for a full-time Butcher who will be employed in our Shop at 8/224
Receiving, inspecting and storing the freshest beef, sourced directly from the best local producers.
Preparation of meat for cutting and packaging
Weigh, cut, de-bone, prepare, portion and package produce.
Able to accurately select various grades & cuts of meat according to customer specifications
Trimming fat off primal according to product specification
Prepare the primal ready for packing
Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitised previous night. Rework display case to assess daily production needs and rotate product.
Operation of slicing, cutting or grinding machinery such as skinner, mincer or injector amongst others
Cut and trim meat to company specification using band saw and knives.
Operate tenderising machine
Operates meat mincer. Dumps meat into top of machine and checks fat content of each batch from mincer.
Arranging displays and stock rotation as well as preparing orders for home deliveries and ensuring all goods on display are fresh and replenished
Preparing, weighing and packing cuts for processing and customer orders.
Preparing and selling cuts upon customer requests
Daily assessment of stock levels and wastage management
Following required store rules and procedures, including maintaining a safe work environment and complying with Food Safety Standards

**Requirements**:
Full trade qualification as a Butcher or at least three years of relevant experience
Knife and boning skills and experience
Butcher qualification would be added bonus
Packing line experience
Excellent customer service skills
Team player and ability to work independently
Able to multitask in a busy environment
Strong understanding and experience in meat quality, cuts and preparation and packaging.
Strong knowledge to adherence to food safety and sanitisation practices.
