$99,469.50 per annum + 12% Super + Salary Packaging
This full‐time (1.0 FTE – 37.5 hours per week) contract position ends 30 June 2027 and is based in Leederville.
Role Overview
The Senior Therapeutic Specialist strengthens early intervention, collaborative practice, and therapeutic crisis intervention in response to mental health concerns of young people within the service. The role provides personalised and holistic mental health support to improve wellbeing, reduce barriers to service access, and enhance recovery outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Strengthen early intervention and crisis response for young people in the service.
* Deliver therapeutic support and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
* Participate in case reviews, referrals, and stakeholder engagement.
* Provide on‐call support as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
* Experience delivering mental health or wellbeing services in community settings.
* Strong knowledge of the mental health sector, referral pathways, and stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work respectfully with young people from diverse cultural and ability backgrounds, including Aboriginal & CaLD and LGBTI individuals.
* Team‐working skills and the ability to build stakeholder relationships.
* Ability to use electronic devices such as smart phones, tablets and computers.
* Knowledge or experience of homelessness and the sector.
* Experience in a senior or team leadership role.
* Experience providing on‐call support.
Must hold a valid National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children clearance, First Aid certificate, and WA Driver's Licence.
