Civil X is seeking an experienced and reliable Machine Operator to join our civil construction team in South Australia. This role involves operating plant and equipment on civil projects, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate civil plant and machinery safely and efficiently
* Comply with all Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA) requirements, site rules, and SWMS
* Conduct and record daily pre-start checks, plant inspections, and basic maintenance
* Follow project specifications, drawings, and construction documentation
* Identify and report hazards, incidents, and near misses in line with site procedures
* Comply with environmental management requirements, including dust, erosion, and vegetation controls
* Assist with general labouring duties where required
* Work cooperatively with supervisors, spotters, and other site personnel
Mandatory Requirements:
* Current White Card
* Relevant plant tickets / VOCs
* Demonstrated understanding of WHS obligations
* Ability to follow SWMS, risk assessments, and site instructions
* Capacity to meet fit-for-work and drug & alcohol site requirements
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience on civil infrastructure or fire track works
* HR or HC licence
* Experience working in regional or remote locations
* First Aid certification

* Employment subject to licence and competency verification
* Ongoing compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality management systems is mandatory
