System Administrator Role Overview
This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the ICT standard operating environment. The successful candidate will ensure reliable and secure systems across the organisation.
Location: Perth, Western Australia
• Employment Status: Full-time, ongoing
• Benefits Package: Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum, plus further benefits.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software, including patching and updating systems, and troubleshooting issues.
* Manage user accounts and permissions.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify and resolve problems.
* Implement security measures to protect the network and data, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies.
* Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
* Keep systems secure and up-to-date by applying software updates in a timely manner.
* Provide technical support to users and other ICT team members, including answering questions and guiding users with systems or software issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in a relevant field.
* Strong knowledge of operating systems, particularly Windows and Linux.
* Experience with networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
* Familiarity with server hardware and virtualization platforms.
* Experience with Cloud Services and technologies.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity with security best practices and tools.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety and You" Certificate of Completion or willingness to obtain.
* Experience configuring and troubleshooting devices.
* Experience with digital voice communications and systems.
* Experience with SAP software.
* Certification in ITIL.
* Strong scripting knowledge.
