Chemical Detection Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Chemical Detection Specialist to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing detection and protection solutions against chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals.
The successful candidate will investigate and develop new solutions focusing on fluorescence properties of highly toxic chemicals, molecular-based chemical sensors, and vibrational spectroscopic methods and techniques.
This role involves supporting technical spectroscopic evaluation of highly toxic chemicals for development of new techniques and testing regimes with alternate light sources.
As a key member of the team, you will develop and apply spectroscopy techniques using Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) for sensitive detection of highly toxic chemicals.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and applying cutting-edge spectroscopy techniques for chemical detection.
* Investigating and developing new solutions focusing on fluorescence properties of highly toxic chemicals.
* Supporting technical spectroscopic evaluation of highly toxic chemicals.
Preferred qualifications include:
* Master's degree or higher in chemistry, physics, or related field.
* Proven experience in spectroscopy, particularly SERS.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
