The key duties of the position include We are seeking highly skilled and experienced International Tax Specialists to join us and play a key role in shaping Australia's international tax system. As an International Tax Specialist in the Australian Taxation Office, you will have deep technical knowledge and experience in applying Australia's specific tax provisions, tax treaties and anti-avoidance provisions relating to international tax planning or cross-border transactions. You will think strategically with a deep knowledge of broader taxation environment, relevant policy, procedures, legislation and frameworks. Collaborating with Treasury, you will help shape and influence the international tax system by identifying and addressing legislative gaps and other law reform issues in connection with multinational tax avoidance. The roles will include delivering outcomes for international risk management, strategic international case management, support of law design, public advice and guidance and/or implementation of the OECD/G20 Pillar Two initiative, impacting tax functions of multinational entities or privately owned and wealthy groups.
