Job Opportunity:
The role of Senior Social Worker involves delivering comprehensive care to pregnant women and their children during the antenatal and postnatal periods within a community setting. Specialized support services will be provided for individuals struggling with substance use who are pregnant or responsible for children under two years old.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Providing specialist counseling and case management support services to clients
* Collaborating with clients to address child protection and well-being concerns, including minimizing the risks associated with harmful parental substance use patterns
* Partnering with parents and families to address child protection and well-being concerns
* Communicating information in electronic client records and other computer-based applications
Requirements:
* Completion of tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Extensive post-graduate clinical experience in drug and alcohol counseling, as well as areas such as child protection, domestic violence, and family relationship issues
* Demonstrated ability to utilize advanced reasoning skills, including preparation of high-quality written reports and comprehensive care plans
