Remuneration: $96,768 - $104,450 pa HEW 6 plus 17% superannuation

The Opportunity

Monash University is seeking a Research Officer to join the Clinical Registries team within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at 553 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.

This role sits within the Transfusion Research Unit, an internationally recognised program focused on improving transfusion practice and patient blood management. The Unit leads major national and international collaborations, including the NHMRC funded Blood Synergy program.

As a Clinical Registry Research Officer, you will provide high quality research and project coordination support across registry based and clinical research projects. Working closely with the Registry Project Manager and Clinical Registries Lead, you will contribute to the effective delivery of research outcomes that inform clinical care, policy and practice.

About The Role

You will coordinate day to day research and administrative activities, including:

* Supporting project planning, scheduling and implementation
* Preparing agendas, minutes, reports and documentation for research leaders and committees
* Coordinating research ethics and governance submissions and regulatory reporting
* Liaising with participating hospitals and stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance with research methodology, ethics, privacy and regulatory requirements
* Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement activities

This is a critical role that supports the integrity, efficiency and impact of clinical registry research within the Transfusion Research Unit.

About You

You will hold a degree in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience, or bring extensive relevant experience and specialist expertise in a research, technical or administrative field.

* Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to implement effective research processes and systems
* Excellent organisational and project coordination capability, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
* Experience supporting research ethics and governance processes
* A thorough understanding of confidentiality, privacy and research ethics principles
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare documentation for diverse audiences
* The ability to work both collaboratively and independently, exercising sound judgement and initiative
* Confidence working with data systems and the capacity to learn new technologies and platforms
