LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE As Engineering Team Leader, you’ll provide technical and people leadership to a highly capable engineering team supporting the NSW Public Safety Network (PSN). Your focus will be the ongoing operation, maintenance and evolution of the Motorola P25 network, ensuring service continuity for organisations that rely on dependable, real‑time communications. You’ll work closely with internal engineering teams, customers and technology partners, acting as both a trusted technical authority and a calm, decisive leader when complex issues arise. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, managing workload, priorities and capability development Provide authoritative technical leadership for Motorola P25 architecture and support tools Oversee fault restoration, complex troubleshooting and systemic issue analysis Collaborate with customer engineering teams and key vendors, including escalation to Level 3 support Support network coverage investigations, site infrastructure and power systems Review system documentation and contribute to estimates, quotes and out‑of‑scope activities Provide guidance to subcontractors and support site acceptance, testing and commissioning activities Participate in the on‑call roster to support critical after‑hours response LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU You’re a seasoned telecommunications or critical communications engineer who brings both depth of technical expertise and confidence in leading others. You’re known for your ability to diagnose complex system issues, guide teams through high‑pressure situations and translate technical complexity into clear, practical outcomes.
