Mackay Regional Council is seeking an experienced RMPC Supervisor to lead the delivery of maintenance works on state-controlled roads under the Road Maintenance Performance Contract (RMPC) with Transport and Main Roads.
This role is ideal for a hands‐on supervisor with strong civil maintenance experience who enjoys leading teams, ensuring safety and quality, and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and TMR.
About The Role
Reporting to the Coordinator / Superintendent – Civil Operations, you will:
* Supervise and coordinate RMPC maintenance works on state-controlled roads
* Lead Council crews and contractors to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes
* Ensure works meet RMPC contractual requirements and TMR standards
* Manage site safety, traffic management, and environmental controls
* Undertake inspections, reporting, and performance documentation
* Liaise with Transport and Main Roads and internal Council stakeholders
About You
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience supervising road maintenance or civil works
* Strong knowledge of WHS, traffic management, and site compliance
* Experience working to specifications, standards, and performance-based contracts
* Well-developed communication and team leadership skills
* A practical, solutions-focused approach to operational challenges
Qualifications And Experience
* Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction (or equivalent experience)
* Construction White/Blue Card
* Traffic Management accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
* Current C Class Driver Licence
* Experience working under TMR contracts or standards is highly regarded
