Contract Administrator Job Description
About the Role:
The Contract Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring that contractual obligations are met, and relationships with stakeholders are maintained. Key responsibilities include detailed contract administration, stakeholder coordination, performance monitoring, and risk assessment to guarantee alignment with legislative requirements, industry standards, and organizational objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparation, review, and administration of contracts, tenders, procurement submissions, and associated documentation.
* Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records of contractual variations, time extensions, and compliance requirements.
* Coordination with project managers, site personnel, clients, and subcontractors to ensure continuity of service delivery and operational efficiency.
* Conducting risk assessments and advising management regarding contractual exposure and mitigation strategies.
* Support with progress reports, cost tracking, subcontractor monitoring, and integration of contract management with general project management processes.
* Planning, supervision, and operational support for construction and maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
* Degree in Law, Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
* Minimum 2–3 years in contract administration, legal practice, or project management.
* Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, and project coordination.
* Language skills: English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
* Ability to interpret legislation, assess risk, and solve problems.
* Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
* Proficiency with project management and contract management systems.
* Experience with contract drafting, compliance monitoring, documentation control, and coordination with clients/subcontractors.
* Background in maintenance, facilities management, or construction is an advantage.
