Be Our Inaugural Head of Cricket
Plympton International College is launching an Elite R-12 Cricket Program and is seeking a registered teacher to build it from the ground up.
This is an exceptional opportunity to design and lead a whole-school pathway from participation to performance, shaping cricket excellence, character, discipline and joy in learning.
You will establish the culture, systems and standards of the program, mentor coaches, partner with SACA and local clubs, and create meaningful experiences aligned to our college values and learning vision.
2026 will be the program's foundation year. The successful applicant will have no teaching load, allowing full focus on building the strategy, standards and partnerships that will underpin a high-performance cricket pathway.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
Hold current South Australian Teacher Registration (or be eligible to obtain it promptly)
Hold a recognised teaching qualification (ITE degree or equivalent for registration)

Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategic development and delivery of the R-12 cricket program
Oversee coaching quality, talent identification and squad selection
Manage fixtures, camps, tours and competitions
Recruit and mentor coaching staff
Maintain program data and operational oversight
Champion child safety and student wellbeing
What You Bring
Registered teacher (SA) with strong understanding of R-12 pedagogy
Proven success in high-performance coaching and/or program leadership
Cricket Australia Level 2
This role does not include a face-to-face teaching load, but may require it if necessary, subject to negotiation.
Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
