Role: Cook – Windara Café (Supported Employees)
At Windara, we believe in inclusion. We are looking for a Cook to work in our Café to support and mentor people with disability in the workplace, combining culinary expertise with coaching and leadership to help Supported Employees develop their skills and achieve their goals.

Role Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team of Supported Employees in preparing and cooking meals.
* Foster an inclusive and positive work environment, providing hands-on training and guidance.
* Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained.
* Plan and prepare menus in line with dietary requirements and customer needs. Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure employees feel empowered and valued.
* Maintain a safe and organized kitchen, adhering to WHS and industry standards.
To be Successful
* Passion for food and inclusion – a love for cooking and a desire to support people with disability in a workplace setting.
* Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery) or prior experience.
* Previous experience working with people with disability is a bonus but not essential.
* Strong communication and mentoring skills – patience and the ability to adapt training to different learning needs.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and the ability to maintain compliance in a commercial kitchen.
* A team player with a positive attitude who is willing to make a real impact.
