We're seeking a Durability & Corrosion Operations Engineer to join our client's team located in north-east of the Geelong for a 12 months contract. This on-site role plays a key part in ensuring the vehicles stand the test of time through rigorous physical testing. Reporting to the Durability Operations Supervisor, you'll work closely within a small, collaborative team supporting durability and corrosion attribute programs, providing insights that drive engineering solutions and enhance product reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders and vehicle testing teams to implement testing plans, prepare vehicles, and support durability testing.
* Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to track and demonstrate operational performance improvements.
* Partner with quality teams to analyse field issue data related to durability.
* Identify durability-related issues across system-level and vehicle-level attributes and assist in resolving engineering problems.
* Apply knowledge of fatigue and static/dynamic loading to support vehicle testing and analysis.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 5–8 years of relevant industry experience.
* Strong ability to extract insights from large datasets.
* Confident and effective communicator and presenter.
* Solid understanding of free body structures in static and dynamic environments.
* Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
