About the Role

Use your intelligence and data analysis skills to help protect the integrity of public funds.

Service NSW processes billions of dollars in transactions on behalf of NSW Government agencies each year—and protecting the integrity of those funds is critical. Reporting to a Senior Intelligence Analyst, you will apply intelligence analysis to identify emerging fraud risks and trends across major grants, rebates and voucher programs. You'll integrate and interrogate data from multiple sources, develop intelligence products that turn complex information into clear insights, and provide timely, actionable recommendations to investigators and stakeholders. Working in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment, you'll help prioritise responses, strengthen controls and support evidence‐based decisions that ensure public money reaches only those who are entitled to it.

Your day-to-day

* Collect, analyse and interpret data and intelligence from multiple internal and external sources to identify emerging fraud risks, trends and typologies
* Interrogate systems and deliver clear, timely fraud reporting to internal and external stakeholders
* Produce high-quality intelligence products that translate complex information into clear, actionable insights
* Partner with investigators, program areas and external agencies to validate intelligence, share insights and strengthen intelligence-led prevention and response
* Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve controls, monitoring and business processes, supporting targeted interventions to reduce fraud and error
* Prepare and present findings for senior leaders, maintaining clear documentation, appropriate handling of sensitive information and fit-for-purpose analytical methodologies

Key Accountabilities

* Deliver intelligence and analytical projects that support high-risk customer, business and regulatory programs across Service NSW
* Research, collate and analyse information from internal and external sources to identify trends, risks and potential non-compliance or fraud indicators
* Prepare timely intelligence assessments, briefs and recommendations that inform operational priorities and decision-making
* Use data extraction and analytical tools to uncover complex patterns, links and networks, including organised fraud activity across programs
* Maintain currency in intelligence methods and emerging issues to strengthen targeting, monitoring and fraud-related responses

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

* Demonstrated understanding and practical application of the intelligence cycle
* Strong computer literacy, with the ability to extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple systems to support analysis and reporting
* Demonstrated ability to apply operational intelligence concepts and analytical techniques to identify risks, trends and emerging issues
* Proven ability to prepare high-quality intelligence assessments, briefs and reports for a range of internal and external stakeholders

If you believe you have the skills and experience and meet the essential requirements, we'd love to hear from you!
