My client, a leader in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector, with headquarters in Australia and operations in the Philippines, boasts an impressive history as one of the first-movers in the sector to now achieving the accolade of one of Australia's fastest growing companies. With over 2,000 staff and over 150 top-tier logos and household names to their client portfolio, their growth has been predicated on delivering high-quality offshore solutions to the Australian and US markets. Now, they're embarking on their next phase of growth, with significant investment in senior leader capability and new technologies, they are set to double in size over the next three years.
About the role
As a key figure driving the next phase of growth, my client is seeking a new Global Head of Recruitment to lead their Recruitment function. The role will lead and oversee the vision and day-to-day execution of a large recruitment team, ensuring seamless, high-quality end-to-end recruitment at speed across a wide variety of role types. Whilst carrying no direct business development responsibilities, the role will contribute to revenue through overseeing execution of placements on behalf of new and existing clients, as well as seeking opportunities to grow existing clients organically.
This is a high impact, high value-add role for the organisation, seen as a critical driver to achieving the company's growth goals.
Key accountabilities
Own, lead, and manage the entire recruitment function of the organisation
Drive a high-performance culture within the recruitment function, built on robust recruitment processes, strong client engagement methods, high standards of activity, and continuous improvement
Coach the recruitment function on best-practice recruitment methods to improve performance
Identify and implement opportunities for improvement across the recruitment function and the broader business with a customer centric mindset
Contribute to strategic planning for the organisation with a focus on recruitment strategy to drive organisational goals
Lead experiments and change initiatives within the recruitment function to drive client engagement or internal efficiencies
Cost centre and budget management for the recruitment function, ensuring the right mix of resources, tools, and technologies to deliver an optimal cost per hire
Support the Sales team in new client pitches, as well as lead initiatives to deliver organic placement growth at existing clients
Oversee internal recruitment for the organisation
About you
You are a seasoned Recruitment or Talent Acquisition Manager, Director, or leader who is most comfortable leading a large team to achieve organisational goals. Your ability to demonstrate this through your experience will set you apart from the rest. You are a ruthless executor, accepting nothing but high-quality outcomes for your clients and high standards from your team. You are a confident and astute operator at all levels, demonstrating ownership and excellent at managing up, down, and across the organisation. You can balance competing priorities and challenges with ease and you're the voice of calm and reason when creating focus for yourself and for your team. You can demonstrate strong professional judgement and decision-making on-the-fly. You are also brilliant in front of clients and capable of showing others how it's done.
MUST be willing and able to relocate to Manila, The Philippines. This role is based on the ground in the company's Manila operations.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in end-to-end recruitment, 5 years of which in a managerial or leadership role, ideally across multiple role types
Ideally, you are from the BPO industry, but otherwise RPO, Agency Recruitment, or Talent Acquisition experience is going to be a great fit
Extensive experience in overseeing end-to-end recruitment operations, including strategy formulation, operational involvement, cross-departmental collaboration, and providing consulting services.
Strong presentation and engagement skills, including client, candidate, team, and stakeholder management.
Knowledge of and experience in the BPO sector in the Philippines (or working with or leading offshore teams) is preferred, but not essential
Must be willing and able to travel from The Philippines to Australia at least once per year
