ERM is seeking a Heritage Consultant to join our growing team in Sydney on a permanent contract basis. ERM’s National Heritage Team is comprised of highly-regarded archaeologists, anthropologists, heritage architects, interpretive specialists, and historians, working across all regions of Australia.

The role will involve working as part of a team in the preparation of cultural heritage and archaeological assessments, consulting with and working alongside Traditional Owners, undertaking field survey, research, report writing and project management. **About the role**
In this role, you would:
- Undertake cultural heritage and archaeological survey and assessment, primarily in NSW and on an as-needed basis in other States and Territories;
- Provide project support to the team, and under direction, provide technical advice and services to clients; and
- Develop technical proficiencies in a team-oriented environment.
**We are looking for a team member who has**:
- Tertiary degree in archaeology, anthropology, Aboriginal studies, or a similar discipline (Honours or equivalent);
- two to five years’ fieldwork experience;
- Knowledge of NSW heritage legislation and statutory approvals process;
- Excellent writing and communication skills;
- Being able and prepared to undertake field work and have the ability to work in remote locations;
- A current valid Australian driver’s licence;
- Knowledge of WHS obligations and responsibilities relevant to the role; and
- Authorisation to work in Australia
