Maintenance Stores Officer – Food Manufacturing Competitive Salary - Full-Time Opportunity Kyneton, VIC (Commutable from North Melbourne, Bendigo and surrounding areas) We are currently seeking a driven and proactive Maintenance Stores Officer to join a well-established meat manufacturing company based in Kyneton. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can think on their feet, take initiative and play a key part in building and improving the Maintenance Stores function. This role will see you working closely with Maintenance, Engineering and Production teams, with regular exposure to the production floor. You must be comfortable working within a meat manufacturing environment and adhering to strict safety and hygiene standards. The Role: Manage and maintain stock levels of maintenance spare parts, equipment and materials Accurately receipt goods, reconcile invoices against purchase orders and coordinate freight movements Help build, organise and improve the maintenance store layout and processes Liaise with Engineering and Facilities teams to ensure critical spares are available to minimise downtime Maintain registers, documentation and compliance requirements Ensure high housekeeping standards within the stores and surrounding areas Identify risks, escalate issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Support cost control and supplier compliance processes About You: A fast thinker with strong problem-solving ability A “go-getter” who shows initiative and takes ownership Comfortable working within a meat manufacturing and production environment Mechanically or electrically minded (trade background highly regarded) Strong computer skills and confident managing systems and documentation Experience with MEX or other CMMS systems highly desirable Highly organised with strong attention to detail Quick to learn and open to improving processes Forklift licence essential What’s on Offer: Competitive salary package Opportunity to help shape and build the Maintenance Stores function Exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment Stable, full-time position in Kyneton If you’re ready to take ownership, improve systems and make a real impact on site performance, we’d like to hear from you.
