About Our Engineering Team
We rely on our Jetstar Engineering Team to deliver our superior safety standards, up to the second. They're the trouble‐shooter, glitch‐fixer and tech‐expert who make sure we take to the sky safely. Solving problems. Trying new things. Getting hands‐on. Fixing and double checking. It's all part of the day job as a Jetstar Engineer – whether you're on the frontline as a Maintenance Engineer or in our Engineering Corporate & Support Team ensuring that we land deadlines, keep projects on track and work as a team to help us transform our fleet for the better.
Warranty and Insurance Specialist, this role is responsible for ensuring that a range of guarantees and warranty claims for our aircraft are monitored and claimed on time including tracking Service Bulletin/Service Letter warranties for airframe, engine and related components.
Reporting to our Warranty, Insurance & Commercial Recovery Manager, you will play a critical coordination role in ensuring that our wider engineering team are escalating fleet issues and that notifications are issued as to fully utilise the warranty benefits for the life of the Aircraft.
You will be responsible for:
* Ensuring all Notices of defects relevant to SSC/PSAA and PA are submitted to suppliers, and claims related to these specific cases are submitted within the due period
* Coordinating with wider teams to ensure modified, redesigned and corrected parts are procured under warranty terms from suppliers after the standard warranty has expired but issues were persistent during warranty period especially Design related defects.
* Regularly coordinating with all Fleet Technical Specialists, Reliability Engineers, and other A320/1 operators to determine fleet issues relevant to design and selection of material are identified, and relevant notifications are issued to fully utilise the warranty benefits for the life of the Aircraft.
* Regular coordination with the PIR team to review shop finding reports for technical assessments to identify failure trends for repaired parts including determining systemic issues with suppliers and maintenance errors for Warranty and Insurance claims purposes.
* Reporting parameters and submitting claims for Guarantees in a timely manner and submitting commercial claims for maximum returns
To be successful in this role, ideally you'll have:
* Experience in an Engineering or Commercial focused role in the aviation, automotive or related industry
* Exposure to an aircraft maintenance, technical services or similar operational environment
* An Aircraft/Engineering Trade Certificate or similar qualification would hold you in high regard
* Confidence in the use of Trax Maintenance Software, or a similar program, in addition to the general computer literacy
* Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to confidently communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
We are searching for a detailed, process orientated individual who enjoys working to critical timeframes and targets. You will be a lateral thinker who is logical and methodical in your approach to work. You will be a strong communicator and negotiator with confidence to propose solutions.
