Insurance Professional Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Professional to join our team in Cairns.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of risks, participate in new business tenders and proposals, build a network of opportunities, and assist with the placement of complex insurance programs.
The successful candidate will have experience managing an SME portfolio of business, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously within a multi-skilled team.
* Maintain a portfolio of key revenue-generating accounts while ensuring high-quality customer service.
* Develop, pursue and convert new business opportunities.
* Grow a commercial portfolio through new logo and organic expanded opportunities.
* Assist with the placement of complex insurance programs and new business, providing valuable support to senior brokers and leadership.
* On-board new clients and deliver on our value proposition.
* Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers.
* Plan and implement effective renewal and broking strategies.
* Ensure effective account retention and defense strategies are in place for all clients.
* Actively participate in claim-related matters.
Key Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* 12 to 18 months broking experience.
* Clear and effective communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously within a multi-skilled team.
* Moderate knowledge of risks and insurance products for key industry sectors.
* Motivation to self-start, enhanced by time management skills.
* Capability to identify and address issues through innovative thinking.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite and demonstrated ability to learn systems quickly.
* Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualifications or higher.
