About the Role
The Production Engineer plays a pivotal part in assisting the production team by providing specialist advice, executing analysis and benchmarking end-to-end performance.
Key responsibilities include identifying and implementing improvement initiatives to enable excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement.
* Engage with Underground Crews: Develop and implement new ideas that drive operational efficiency and productivity.
* Drilling, Blasting and Production Planning: Design and review drilling, blasting and production plans to ensure seamless execution and optimal results.
* Production Performance Indicators: Compile reports and provide expertise on production performance indicators to inform strategic decision-making.
* Equipment Capability Analysis: Analyze equipment capability assumptions to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.
* Functional Capability Gaps: Identify functional capability gaps and recommend improvements to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
* Production Budget and Operating Standards: Prepare inputs for the production budget and operating standards to ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Quality Assurance and Quality Control: Undertake QA/QC monitoring and stope reconciliations to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree in Mining, Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
* Experience working in an underground hard rock mine environment.
* Underground practical experience, including a thorough understanding of the production cycle.
* Proven experience in drill and blast design is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to be motivated and self-directed.
* Well-developed Microsoft Office and Deswik software experience.
