Building Services Engineer - Complex Commercial New Build - Sydney
Building Services Engineer role with a leading Tier 2 commercial builder delivering a major complex commercial new build project in Sydney. With a strong pipeline of secured work across technical, health, education and commercial projects, this builder has built a reputation for successfully delivering technically challenging projects with a collaborative, well‐resourced team environment. This role will see you working on a large‐scale, services‐intensive project, supporting the delivery of all building services packages from procurement through to commissioning and handover.
The Role
* Manage and coordinate all services trades (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire)
* Review design documentation and drive buildability and value engineering outcomes
* Lead services procurement, scope alignment and subcontractor engagement
* Oversee installation to ensure compliance with programme, quality and safety requirements
* Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Team to integrate services with structure and finishes
* Support commissioning, authority approvals and final handover
Required Experience
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or similar
* 3+ years' experience working for a head contractor or Tier 1 subcontractor as a Building Services Engineer
* Experience delivering complex commercial new build projects valued $50M+
* Strong understanding of services coordination and commissioning
* Confident managing subcontractors and consultant relationships
* Sound knowledge of the NSW construction market
