We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced General Mechanic to help keep our vehicles safe and compliant.
About the role
You'll be working with a small and enthusiastic team maintaining and repairing a mixture of light and heavy vehicles across our diverse fleet. This is a hands‐on role with a mix of workshop tasks and fleet support, working closely with operational teams to keep our vehicles on the road along with training and support as required.
What you'll be doing
* Minor servicing, diagnosing and repairing light and heavy vehicles
* Preventive maintenance and safety inspections
* Fault‐finding across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
* At times attending breakdowns where practical
* Commissioning new vehicles and equipment
* Maintaining service records
* Supporting fleet operations and improvement initiatives
About you
* AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Diesel Automotive Technology (Heavy Vehicle)
* Experience working on various vehicles including trucks and machinery
* Current HR licence
* Strong safety focus and pride in workmanship
Nice to have (not essential):
* Welding and hydraulics experience
* Towing, transport or roadside assistance experience
