**Your Day to Day**
What an amazing time to be joining IHG. With spectacular openings in our region and a healthy pipeline of new hotels to come as well as a newly revamped rewards program the timing couldn't be better.
Join us as our Sales Excellence Manager for Japan, Australasia & Pacific (JAPAC). This role will report directly to our Senior Manager, Global Sales Excellence and will be based in our Sydney support Office.
This role will support developing and refining sales training for IHG Javelin/ onboarding and continuous soft skills support for sellers and leaders.
**What we need from you**
To be successful in this role the following skills and attributes are essential would be highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor's or master's degree in Hotel Management, Business, Education, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Experience
6-10 years progressive work-related experience in training, design and facilitation, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position, as well as 2 years prior supervisory or team leader experience. Coaching experience preferred.
**Technical** **Skills and Knowledge**
- Fluency in reading, writing and spoken English and Japanese is essential
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing people including the ability to manage remote staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Service/Hospitality industry, hotel operations and systems.
- Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills
- Demonstrated instructional design skills to effectively develop client focused training programs.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management, and staff.
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to communicate information to groups in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated solid teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers, employees, and senior management.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
- Salesforce, Cvent, Meeting Broker, GRS knowledge
- Understanding of IHG initiatives and priorities, and Revenue Management Principles & Practices
