Job Description
We are looking for a talented professional who is passionate about creating memorable culinary experiences, and developing a team of upcoming chefs. You will support the Kitchen team and ensuring our guests have memorable experiences when dining with us.
Key Duties Include
* Preparation and cooking for buffet breakfast, a la carte dinner, room service and conferences and events
* Work closely with senior chefs to develop your culinary skills
* Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen
* Help with food preparation, plating, and garnishing
* Learn and follow recipes, contributing to the creation of new ones
* Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage
Qualifications
* Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
* Previous kitchen experience or culinary training in hot, cold and dessert section is a plus
* Enthusiasm for cooking and a strong desire to learn and grow
* Ability to work well in a team and handle a fast-paced kitchen
* Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety
* Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays periods
