Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and hands‐on technology leader to oversee the day‐to‐day operations of our Systems Administration team, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance while ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and high‐performing IT services.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, systems, and network issues across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.
* Administer and support studio infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization platforms, backups, and endpoint devices.
* Manage the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle of laptops, workstations, and thin clients.
* Support enterprise platforms and services including Okta, Microsoft 365 and Jira.
* Collaborate closely with Software Development, Production, Creative Operations, and other teams to ensure reliable and efficient technology services.
* Identify recurring issues, drive root‐cause analysis, and implement operational improvements.
* Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, disaster recovery plans, and security best practices. Contribute to infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology initiatives involving platforms such as Proxmox, Ovirt, Ceph, Mellanox, and Sophos.
* Coordinate planned maintenance activities and help ensure high levels of service delivery across the studio
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure, or a related IT role, with demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
* Strong hands‐on expertise across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments, with advanced troubleshooting and problem‐solving capabilities.
* Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure, including networking, virtualization, storage, backup solutions, security, and cloud technologies.
* Experience supporting production‐focused environments such as VFX, animation, gaming, media, or other creative industries is highly regarded.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and drive continuous improvement in a fast‐paced environment.
