A busy and growing cardiology practice on the Gold Coast is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Scientist to join our team.
We welcome applications from experienced cardiac scientists as well as recent graduates who are eager to learn, develop their skills, and grow within a supportive team environment.
The successful applicant may be required to work across multiple clinic locations throughout the Gold Coast, including Southport, Benowa, Tugun and Hope Island.
About the Role
This role involves working closely with cardiologists and sonographers to provide high-quality cardiac diagnostic services and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform and interpret ECGs with accurate identification of abnormal rhythm types
* Apply and assist with analysis of Holter monitors, event monitors, remote monitoring devices, and ambulatory blood pressure monitors
* Assist with patient preparation and consent for exercise stress testing and stress echocardiography
* Provide support to cardiologists and sonographers during stress echo and stress testing sessions
* Ensure reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner
* Maintain a high standard of patient care and professionalism
* Assist with ordering linen and medical supplies
* Ensure cardiac equipment is maintained and functioning appropriately
About You
Essential / Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Cardiac Physiology or equivalent qualification
Skills & Experience
* Excellent patient care and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
* Experience performing ECGs and fitting Holter/remote monitoring devices and blood pressure monitors is desirable
* Experience with exercise stress testing and stress echocardiography is advantageous, however training can be provided to the right candidate
