Our client, a large public sector organisation, is undertaking a significant, multi-year transformation to improve how its $2B annual capital works program is governed and delivered. With a $40B asset base, this is a rare opportunity to influence how critical infrastructure is managed across Queensland.
To support this transformation, they are now seeking an Infrastructure Lifecycle & Governance Specialist to lead improvements in project lifecycle processes and strengthen delivery capability across the infrastructure portfolio.
Key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
* Provide subject matter expertise across project lifecycle frameworks, governance, and assurance
* Interpret and apply relevant Queensland Government frameworks (PAF, BCDF, etc.) to support lifecycle improvements
* Contribute to the development and implementation of a standardised Project Lifecycle Framework
* Develop tools, templates, and guidance to improve delivery consistency across programs
* Engage and collaborate with internal teams to embed improved practices across the portfolio
* Support the design and implementation of best-practice infrastructure delivery processes
What we're looking for:
* Background in infrastructure advisory, capital program uplift, or project governance within government or large public organisations
* Experience in designing and embedding frameworks within a business transformation context
* Strong understanding of Queensland Government methodologies, including the Project Assessment Framework (PAF) and assurance models
* Build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels – impeccable written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to pragmatically identify root causes and deliver effective solutions
* Hands-on mindset – someone who can "create and do" in a complex, low-maturity environment
Why consider this role?
* Be part of a large-scale, early-phase infrastructure transformation
* Influence meaningful improvement across a $40B public infrastructure portfolio
* 6-month contract based in Brisbane, with potential for extension
* Competitive rate of up to $115.65/hr + super
